Horse Search:
While Equine Imports used to list horses for sale in both Germany and Denmark, we have chosen now to customize our horse searches for our clients. You can use the contact form on this website to let us know your specific horse search requirements and we would be happy to try to find exactly what you are looking for, within your price range. We will then send you video footage and photographs of those horses, for your review.
Alternatively, if you prefer to travel to find your next horse, we can arrange to show you horses in Denmark and/or Germany that meet your parameters and would be good possibilities for you.
Purchase Process:
Once you have found the horse of your dreams we will ask you to find out exactly what radiographs and tests your own vet might want to see done at the pre-purchase examination by a qualified equine veterinarian in Denmark or Germany. We will get a price for that examination and will make the appointment once funds have been received to pay for it. The results, including any radiographs, will then be sent directly to your own vet to approve prior to a purchase. The horse will be held for you, while this process is taking place and until your veterinarian decides whether the horse should be purchased or not.
Import Process:
Once the horse has been approved for purchase by your own veterinarian, we will make all arrangements to have the horse shipped to the US and transported to the nearest USDA quarantine facility. If a stallion or a mare over two years of age, we can make the necessary CEM quarantine arrangements. We can even assist you in arranging transportation to your home from USDA or CEM quarantine.
