Over the years, we have received many questions about the import process.
Here are the answers to some of them:

How much will importing a horse cost me?
At the end of 2011 the cost to import a gelding from Denmark or Germany was nearly $10,000, including transport to the airport, the flight over, and USDA quarantine.
Costs for CEM quarantine are not included in that price and might add $2,000 to import a mare or $5,000 or more for a stallion.

How long does it take from when I decide I want to buy a horse to its arrival in the US?
Once your vet approves your purchase and you send your money for the horse to the sellerthe import process usually begins within the following two weeks. We try to get your new horse to you within one month, whenever possible.

Can my horse be insured during the import process and while it is still over in Europe?
Yes, there are reputable companies in the US that can secure this coverage, for a small additional premium, and we can help you acquire such coverage should you purchase a horse through us.
